Usain Bolt confirms fitness for Müller Anniversary Games
The world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt, has confirmed that he will be fit to compete at the Müller Anniversary Games on Friday 22 July. Bolt withdrew from the Jamaican Championships with a hamstring injury last weekend but is confident of competing at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in two weeks’ time.
The world record holder will face Britain’s European 200m champion Adam Gemili (coach: Steve Fudge) and Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake (Dennis Shaver), the second fastest Brit of all time with a personal best of 19.95.
He will also face international stars such as his Jamaican teammate Nickel Ashmeade, 2009 world silver medallist Alonso Edward and 2010 European champion Christophe Lemaitre of France.
