Organisers of this summer’s Müller Birmingham Diamond League are hoping they can join London in achieving legendary status through hosting a world record.

Fans of the Muller Birmingham Diamond League are now able to see what disciplines have been earmarked for the event taking place on 21 May 2022.

BIRMINGHAM TO BE SECOND FIXTURE AS WANDA DIAMOND LEAGUE MEETS ANNOUNCED
The Wanda Diamond League will touch down in 14 cities across four different continents in 2022, with the series set arrive in the UK in May.

ATHLETES WITH 148 OLYMPIC AND WORLD MEDALS IN ACTION
- 22 global gold medallists confirmed for 13th July event in Gateshead - Katarina Johnson-Thompson and Dina Asher-Smith are among 41 Tokyo-bound Brits in the line-ups - US sprinter Trayvon Bromell, Dutch middle-distance runner Sifan Hassan and German javelin thrower Johannes Vetter - Paralympic champions Sophie Hahn and Jonnie Peacock also in action

KATARINA JOHNSON-THOMPSON CONFIRMED FOR GATESHEAD
World heptathlon champion will compete in the long jump on Tuesday 13th July. KJT takes on world gold medallist Malaika Mihambo of Germany. Brits Jazmin Sawyers and Abigail Irozuru also jump in front of a home crowd. Gateshead is hosting its second Wanda Diamond League event of 2021.

JAMAICAN 4X400M RELAY TEAMS TO RECEIVE OLYMPIC UPGRADES FROM 2008 AND 2012 AT 2019 MÜLLER ANNIVERSARY GAMES
- Both teams originally won bronze at consecutive Olympic Games (2008 and 2012) prior to upgrades being confirmed now upgraded due to Russian doping sanctions - Silver medals will be presented to the respective teams at today’s second session of the 2019 Müller Anniversary Games - The women’s Jamaican 4x400m relay teams from both Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Olympic Games will receive their upgraded silver medals on Sunday 21st July at the Müller Anniversary Games in the London Stadium.
