CANADIAN DELIGHT AT DIAMOND LEAGUE FIXTURE IN BIRMINGHAM
The British athletes may have enjoyed several victories on home turf at the Muller Birmingham Diamond League, but the Canadian athletes certainly enjoyed several high quality performances at the second Wanda Diamond League meeting of the season.

WORLD ATHLETICS HERITAGE PLAQUE HONOURING DIANE LEATHER CHARLES PRESENTED IN BIRMINGHAM
The presentation of The World Athletics Heritage Plaque honouring Diane Leather Charles, who in 1954 became the first woman to run below five minutes for the mile, was presented at the Muller Birmingham Diamond League on Saturday (21), the second fixture in the Wanda Diamond League.

British athletes shone at their home Müller Birmingham Diamond League as Laura Muir, Dina Asher-Smith, Matt Hudson-Smith, Keely Hodgkinson and the women’s 4x100m relay took victory while there were also six world leads set at an impressively renovated Alexander Stadium.

2015 Birmingham Diamond League Flashback
The 2015 Birmingham Diamond League saw Adam Gemili make history, as he became the hundredth British man to go sub 10 seconds over 100m. His time of 9.97 wasn’t quite enough for first place as the American Marvin Bracy came out on top, but Gemili enjoyed an afternoon that saw him break his personal best twice – setting a high standard and finishing dead on 10.00 seconds in his heat.
